Good Movie Calendar

Here’s a list of good movies. A place to view all their trailers, our view on the trailers as well as the films after they have been released.

Blade Runner 2049

Fck say: It’s not a superhero movie but woah, this has been a long time coming. If it is even 70% as good as the first one, it’s going to blow minds.

Release Date: October 6th, 2017
Studio: Alcon Entertainment
Director: Denis Villeneuve
Cast: Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, and Jared Leto.

Fck says: What a little gem. The trailer was crud compared to the film. Worth a watch without looking at your phone at the same time.

Thor: Ragnarok

Fck say: We’re the first to say that the first Thor instalment was pretty average, however,  the sequel, Thor: The Dark World was a dramatic improvement (though still not great). This leads us to the third film in the franchise and we are pretty pumped about this one. Here are the main reasons we’re getting excited. 1. It’s directed by New Zealand’s Taika Waititi, known for the amazing Hunt For The Wilderpeople and What They Do In They Shadows  (apparently just about the whole movie has been improvised). 2. This is the last Marvel film before Avengers: Infinity War, so hopefully it will shed some light on this upcoming narrative. 3. It’s in space. 4. It’s got Hulk in it.

I think we may have a big deal on our hands here.

Release Date: November 3, 2017
Studio: Marvel
Director:Taika Waititi
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie AlexanderCate Blanchett, Marc Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Ray Stevenson, and Jeff Goldblum.

Fck says: Probably the best of the year. Very very good. Jeff Goldblum, Pretty big wolf, Hulk… do it.

Justice League

[This was pretty crap]

Fck say: Batman vs Superman’s whole purpose was to set up this film. Batman vs Superman had its critics and it was pretty sub par. However, there was some flashes of light in the darkness so hopefully DC is learning what’s working and what’s not and it won’t be too long until they are up there with Marvel as far are watchability goes. It’s a Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman (Rumoured but hes’s not dead is he…), Flash and Aquaman team up so it gets us pretty frothy.

Release Date: November 17, 2017
Studio: Warner Bros.
Director: Zack Snyder
Cast: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amber HeardGal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Ciarán Hinds, and Kiersey Clemons.

Fck says: Don’t do it. It sucks balls. Balls.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

[They fucked it, they really did. Don’t bother]

Release Date: December 15, 2017
Studio: Disney
Director: Rian Johnson
Cast: Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Billie Lourd, Warwick Davis and Benicio del Toro.

Fck says: They killed Star Wars. It will probably come back to life but they killed it.

Black Panther

Fck say: He was epic in Captain America: Civil War. Now we get to see him kick ass in his home world – Wakanda.

Release Date: February 16, 2018
Studio: Marvel
Director:Ryan Coogler
Cast: Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Florence Kasumba, John Kani, and Winston Duke.

Fck says: Very good. Watch it.

Avengers: Infinity War

Fck say: The first trailer was fcked, thje second has built the excitement. There are a few queries…why does Thanos look so shit, where is his crown. Having said that, 10 years of planning and narrative and we are finally here. Every single Marvel film since Iron Man in 2008 has teased us about the Infinity Stones, now we have Infinity War AND Thanos. 10 years in the making. THIS IS BIG.

Release Date: May 4, 2018
Studio: Marvel
Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
Cast: Josh Brolin, every Marvel Cinematic Universe character ever.

Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo

Fck say: Really don;’t know how this one will go. They fckd The Last Jedi. Let’s see how this one goes. Trailer looks ok.
Random reviewer:
Khaleesi fcking SUCKS. I knew she would. She’s BAD actor with GREAT tits. Horrendous casting decision. She ruins every scene she’s in. Fck off.
Han and Lando are pretty great. When Childish Gambino nails Lando’s swagger it’s incredible (but that’s only 70% of the time, the other 30% he’s just another asshole from Atlanta). Woody Harrison is solid but his talents are under-utilised. Story starts well, drags in the middle and finishes strong. It’s just a cool space movie with fuck all to do with the Skywalker story arc. I’d prefer to see more of these stand alones instead of having my childhood raped and shat on by sequels.
I give it 3 bags of corn and 2 cups of green alien milk.
Release Date: Wasn’t total horseshit unlike The Last Fagi which was pure horse.
Studio: Disney, Lucasfilm
Directors: Formerly Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, currently Ron Howard.
Cast: Alden Ehrenreich, Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

X-Men: The New Mutants

Fck say: We were told it was going to be a proper horror genre film but didn’t take it too seriously. This trailer looks pretty intense though. They’ve previously learnt from Deadpool and Logan that audiences are open to R rated films. Now they have thrown this curveball with a kind of X men: Shutter Island? or X men: Saw mashup.  A little confused… but intrigued, play on.

Release Date: April 13, 2018
Studio: FOX
Director: Josh Boone

Deadpool 2

Fck say: Pretty pumped for the follow up but a little worried about the trailer. Let’s just hope they dont go overboard like Guardians 2 and fck it. Third trailer out now… reasons to be even more nervous than before. Really worried about X-Force…

Studio: FOX
Director: David Leitch

Ant-Man & the Wasp

Release Date: July 6th, 2018
Studio: Marvel
Director: Peyton Reed
Cast: Paul Rudd, Evengelyne Lilly.

The Batman

Fck say: This is a big deal. Yum. We’re going to say it. Affleck is ok, not as good as Bale but he’s number 2. We reckon he pips Keaton. This is wrong now, he was shit in Justice League. Move on Affleck, you failed.

Release Date: Formerly October 5th, 2018, now…2019??
Studio: Warner Bros.
Director: Matt Reeves
Cast: Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, Joe Manganiello, J.K. Simmons.

Release Date: October 5th, 2018
Studio: Sony

X-Men: Dark Phoenix
